Birmingham Smart City is a collaborative approach uniting all sectors and communities in Birmingham and the wider region to change how we deliver services and create a more sustainable and better future for all of our citizens.
The Birmingham Smart City blog provides an open space for you to share and promote your smart city thinking and activities, find out what others are doing and connect you to opportunities that will hopefully benefit both you as well as support Birmingham on its journey to becoming a smarter city (see our guiding principles).
To get involved and be part of Smarter Birmingham:
– Tell us what you are you doing and other good things that you have seen that are helping to make a Smarter Birmingham email: smartbrum@gmail.com or complete the online form
– If you have lots of ideas to share – why not consider becoming an editor – email smartbrum@gmail.com to find out how
– Take a look at the Birmingham Smart City Roadmap actions and tell us what you think – there are over 35 different actions covering energy, mobility, health, transport, open data, connectivity that you can comment on or get more involved with
Birmingham Smart City is being led by Birmingham Smart City Commission, the focus is on using digital technologies, data and connectivity to support a more joined up approach to how services are co-produced and driven by the issues that matter most to the people and businesses that live and work in the city.
Our thanks to the many partners that have helped to get this blog off the ground and Jas Bains, Accord Housing, who helped fund the initial development.
